Offline-First Logistics & Inventory App

The Challenge

A software company needed a mobile app to complement their existing core system for retail and logistics clients. The app had to work in warehouses and distribution centers where internet connectivity is unreliable or nonexistent.

Their previous mobile solution was built on legacy technology and needed a full migration to a modern stack.

What We Built

A React Native app designed for PDA devices with integrated barcode scanners, built to operate completely offline and sync data when connectivity returns.

  • Full inventory management and stock counting
  • Shipment control and verification
  • Offline-first architecture with SQLite local storage
  • Automatic data synchronization on reconnect
  • Barcode scanner integration with PDA hardware
  • UX optimized for warehouse operators (large buttons, high contrast, fast workflows)
  • Functional UI delivered within 2 weeks of project kickoff

How We Worked

This project was delivered as a mobile development partner for the client's software company. They owned the client relationship and backend/API — we handled the entire mobile layer, from architecture to deployment.

Result

A production app replacing legacy technology, used daily in warehouse operations by real operators handling inventory, shipments, and stock control — even without internet connectivity.
